Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Reduxe Edition: Part 2

Here's the last batch of drawings I did for "The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe Reduxe Edition".

These characters are from Jack Kirby's "Eternals" series, which was full of mind blowing concepts and artwork. It blew me away as a kid, and still does today. But then again, just about everything Kirby has that effect on me.

Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Reduxe Edition: Part 1

I recently submitted a few drawings to a cool site called "The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe Reduxe Edition".

The goal of the site is to ... "invite a group of disparate cartoonists and artist to come together in order to recreate every single character entry in the original Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe (Deluxe Edition) in their own inimitable style."

The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe (Deluxe Edition) was a 20 issue series published from 1985-1988. The series featured a pin-up styled drawing, as well as detailed information, for each hero and villain of the Marvel Universe, from A to Z. This was before the internet, so getting vital information on your favorite characters was often a difficult, or impossible, task at the time.

I was a big fan of the Marvel series, so being a part of this Reduxe Edition was a treat. Of course, I only picked  Jack Kirby characters to draw, so that made it even cooler.

Girl Product Designs

I had a lot of fun with these designs, which could be printed on various items. These were presented to a chain of retail stores which specializes in the girl's market. The designs ultimately didn't move forward, but were a treat to work on!
